A Note from the Chapter Director,
 
By now we are thinking the worst of winter must be past us and so far winter has been a sweet one. Hardly any snow and really not much cold. Sweet! Have you been thinking about trips we should go on? Reliving old memories of trips gone by? That’s what the winter months are for me…a time to pause and plan.

So far some of our new changes have gone well. We are looking for feedback on how the members feel about it though. We are having Tuesday Food Finds instead of Fridays to help out the restaurants we go to so we aren’t crowding them on busy nights. We have cancelled Thursday ice cream/coffee get-togethers at Culvers due to lack of interest. We’ll start back up on Thursday when April comes around and it’s our regularly scheduled rides. Speaking of rides, it was decided to start leaving from Morton Field Shopping Center parking lot again instead of Casey’s because it is bigger and far easier to get in and out of. We have done away with the door prizes and instead are collecting pantry donations in following member suggestions and also what some other chapters are doing too. Each month the donations will go to a different pantry. When you bring something in you will receive an extra 50/50 ticket so there is a greater chance you could win money! If you are reading this you are doing so online since the majority said they prefer to do that. It is cost effective also! Our sponsors will still get printed copies as well as our Education Officer and Member Enhancement Division so they can give them to prospective members. We still have plenty of rides planned, both day trips and overnighters.
